TORREMOLINOS SWIMMING TRAINING CAMPS
Located on the outskirts of sunny Torremolinos the ‘Ciudad de Torremolinos’ is a very popular swimming training venue for many different sports. For over 15 years we have been coordinating swimming training camps to this destination, receiving great feedback and many groups returning year after year.
There are many possibilities offered by these sports facilities, which, together with the good climate of the Costa del Sol, make them visited by high-level teams and numerous professionals from different sports throughout the year.
Torremolinos Swimming Training Camps
The outdoor pool which was built in May 2011 at the Piscina Olímpica Virgen del Carmen and The Stadium Ciudad de Torremolinos form the larger part of the sporting complex that hosts 3 swimming pools:
- Pool 1 Outdoor, 50 metres x 8 lanes, 21.5 metres (2 metres deep) (5 minutes’ walk from track facilities)
- Pool 2 Outdoor, fully equipped diving pool 25 metres x 12.5 metres
- Pool 3 Indoor, 50 metres x 8 lanes, 21.5 metres (2 metres deep) (Directly adjacent to the athletics’ track
All the pools are heated to 27-29ºC and include anti wave lane ropes, backstroke flags, pace clocks and starting blocks.
As both pools are municipally owned there are galas throughout the year – details are available upon request.
Adjacent to the indoor pool there is an athletics track with plenty of space for land training pre & post pool sessions. Not forgetting a large gym, with areas of bodybuilding, cardiovascular, toning and stretching, steam rooms and bubble pool.
We can offer a choice of 3 & 4 star hotel options all within walking distance of the pool/sports facilities. The hotels we use are experienced at welcoming and catering for sports groups and are very flexible to a range of group requirements.
The hotel Griego Hotel is ideally situated for access to the town centre, and both the beach and the swimming pools that are only a 10 minutes’ walk away. The rooms are spacious and all have balconies. Each room has private bathroom / WC and TV.
The restaurant has a varied menu and is buffet plan. Full Board and All Inclusive meal basis is a very popular choice at this hotel at a very good price. There is a leisure swimming pool, two bars and a discotheque.
The Hotel Cervantes is centrally located in Torremolinos, 5 minutes’ walk from the Beach. It offers a rooftop pool and a spa with a sauna, indoor pool and gym. Bright, air-conditioned rooms are soundproofed and feature satellite TV, private balcony and some with sea views. There is a safe, and the private bathroom comes with a hairdryer and amenities.
A buffet breakfast is offered and room service is available. Free WiFi is available at reception.
Closer to the beach but about a 15 minutes walk to the sports training complex.
For your Torremolinos Swimming Training Camps there are many flight options to/from Malaga Airport – the closest airport to the resort of Torremolinos, which makes this training venue so affordable. Scheduled airlines such as British Airways & Iberia fly daily and ‘Low cost’ airlines such as Ryanair, Easyjet, Jet2 and Norwegian Air also fly into and out of Malaga Airport from London and other regional airports. The airport transfer time to/from the hotel/training facilities is approximately 30 minutes. Flight costs vary from £120 in low season to £280+ in high season periods.
Flights can be quoted upon request and some airlines can offer a low deposit payment option for flight seats depending on the numbers travelling.
