MALAGA SWIMMING TRAINING CAMPS
The Malaga Aquatic Centre (INACUA) was completed in 2008, to host the European Waterpolo Championships. The modern complex is located in a new urban area, close the motorway connecting the city of Málaga with the Sun Coast, 1 mile from the airport, next to the Martin Carpena Sport Palace and the athletics Stadium, and just 200m from the sea.

The centre boasts both an indoor and outdoor 10 lane – 50m x 25m pool, as well as 2 x short course 25m and 17m indoor pools. Both 50m pools have starting blocks and lane ropes, with 6 underwater viewing windows located in the outdoor pool. From October 2018 the outdoor pool has been heated to a comfortable temperature for training.
All groups have full use of the 1,000sq. metre fitness room for a one hour land training session each day (pre or post swimming). Rooms close to the pool are available for exercises and stretching and there is enough outdoor space for land training.
Most of our groups have stayed in nearby Torremolinos, only a short 10 minute transfer to the pool. These 3 & 4* hotels offer a beach location, which are enjoyed by groups outside of training and are experienced at welcoming and catering for sports teams. But now we are pleased to offer accommodation within just a 20 minute walk or 10 minute cycle ride away from the Malaga Aquatic Centre – the newly renovated Arunda Sports Residence
The Residencia SRM Arunda opened in February 2018, so guests will be able to enjoy a totally refurbished accommodation. Located 20 minutes on foot from the sports complex Inacua Málaga, this residence has a capacity of up to 256 people. The rooms have: Beds 2m x 1, Free WIFI, Air conditioning and Daily cleaning.
Rooms are distributed across 4 floors with for Leisure space, Reception, Meeting rooms, garden and pool area. The on-site Restaurant can cater for more than 120 people simultaneously, with a Buffet system. In one wing of the residence there are double or single rooms with private bathrooms. In the other wing, the living room, auditorium and physiotherapy room can be found.
In the other wing of the residence there are double, triple and quadruple (bunk beds), with a small room next to the window. The bathrooms are shared, there is a bathroom wing that is divided into showers, toilets and WC, each has a number coinciding with each bedroom, so each room has a bathroom that is in a community space.
All meals are buffet based and the menus are ideal for training athletes and can be adapted in case there are any special dietary requirements within the group.
The hotel Griego Hotel is ideally situated for access to the town centre, and both the beach and the swimming pools that are only a 10 minutes’ walk away. The rooms are spacious and all have balconies. Each room has private bathroom / WC and TV.
The restaurant has a varied menu and is buffet plan. Full Board and All Inclusive meal basis is a very popular choice at this hotel at a very good price. There is a leisure swimming pool, two bars and a discotheque.
The Hotel Cervantes is centrally located in Torremolinos, 5 minutes’ walk from the Beach. It offers a rooftop pool and a spa with a sauna, indoor pool and gym. Bright, air-conditioned rooms are soundproofed and feature satellite TV, private balcony and some with sea views. There is a safe, and the private bathroom comes with a hairdryer and amenities.
A buffet breakfast is offered and room service is available. Free WiFi is available at reception.
Closer to the beach but about a 15 minutes walk to the sports training complex.
For your Malaga Swimming Training Camps there are many flight options to/from Malaga Airport, which makes this training venue so affordable. Scheduled airlines such as British Airways & Iberia fly daily and ‘Low cost’ airlines such as Ryanair, Easyjet, Jet2 and Norwegian Air also fly into and out of Malaga Airport from London and other regional airports. The airport transfer time to/from the hotel/training facilities is approximately 30 minutes. Flight costs vary from £120 in low season to £280+ in high season periods.
Flights can be quoted upon request and some airlines can offer a low deposit payment option for flight seats depending on the numbers travelling.
